The U.S. power grid has a known intermittency problem, which produces real-time power and price volatility.

Our Projects are a Solution

Spearmint is squarely focused on developing and operating BESS in locations where we can solve the biggest weaknesses of energy — intermittency and the price volatility it creates — and make the greatest difference. While utilities, load-serving entities, and developers also contract for storage, given their lower risk tolerance, they are not as focused on deploying critical infrastructure in the regions with the greatest imbalances.
