Andrew Kidd

Andrew Kidd brings more than 30 years of energy industry experience to his role. He began his career at DLA Piper as an associate specializing in the development, construction, and financing of waste-to-energy facilities in the United States. Andrew then served as Associate General Counsel and then Asia General Counsel for Covanta Energy, based in Hong Kong, supporting the development, construction, and acquisition of energy infrastructure projects in Asia. Later in his career, Andrew was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for El Paso Corporation’s merchant energy business, including its power, refining and marketing, oil and gas, and energy trading platforms. Similarly, he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the merchant energy businesses of Constellation Energy, including its power, oil and gas, energy trading, and freight businesses based in Baltimore, Houston, and London. Andrew was also the Chief Executive Officer at Samson Resources and most recently has served as an Independent Director for 10 energy companies including HighPoint Resources, Sheridan Production Company, GenOn Americas Generation, and Gulfport Energy. Andrew holds a J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a Law Review editor and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
